We made one more trip up to the cabin for Bruce to finish "winterizing" things this weekend, and ended up going out to supper with some friends at the Y Club. The food was just so-so, but it was nice to be out with friends on a Saturday night and when we got back to the cabin, we settled in to watch a holiday movie, Home Alone. We headed back around noon today and then it was time to get ready for the work week with laundry, making yogurt, and gassing up the car.
We decided to put lights up on the tree. We found some boxes in the basement that were full of lights, but many of them had bulbs that were duds. Have you ever noticed how you can never find a replacement bulb that will fit? I have a thought that manufacturers change them up every year just so you have to buy all new strings. It could be true. We didn't put the ornaments on yet, though. I'm hoping the cats will lose interest in the tree by the time we do.
And I probably should start making my lists for everything that needs to get done in the next few weeks. Maybe tomorrow.
