May Brown Eyed Book Club Beauties

We met at Mona's condo for our May book club gathering, and had a delicious meal together. Mona tried out a new dish, Eggs Benedict Casserole. Cathy brought her Blueberry Buckle, Kat brought rhubarb muffins, and I brought both lemon bread and banana bread. I decided to try a Bloody Mary, and surprised myself in enjoying it! (Bloody Marys fall into the same category for me as coffee does. For some reason, I never felt like much of an adult until I learned to like coffee. And now that I like Blood Marys, I feel even more like an adult. 😂)

We weren't sure if Kat would be able to join us because of another Covid Outbreak at the facility she works at, but she ended up testing negative, so we were good to go.

After Brunch we headed over to Southdale for a matinee, and saw Book Club The Next Chapter. 

I suggested that our next reading selection be the book that Bruce gave me on Mother's Day (Saturday Night At The Lakeside Supper Club), but a check for availability at nearby libraries revealed Holds of over 1,000! 

Our next gathering will be here in mid July.
