Halloween 2021

It's fun being grandma on Halloween! Little boy's eyes were so big when he came into the kitchen and saw the glowing pumpkins on the table! Of course he noticed all the other decorations, too, but there isn't much that he doesn't see. No trick or treating for little boy this year, but he did wear his pumpkin outfit, and watched from inside the front door when the other kids stopped by for candy in their costumes. I think we had around 25 trick or treaters, which is pretty good for our neighborhood. Katie's birthday was on Saturday, so we gave our gift to her when they came over on Halloween. We ate wild rice soup, salad, and bread for supper, and Katie brought us big slices of the chocolate cake she had made, and it was really yummy. Later on in the evening, Mom called and said, "Trick or Treat!" She went on to say that she'd been calling people and saying, "Trick or Treat, Happy Halloween!" and then would hang up without saying who it was! I'm thinking that people must have known that it was her, but it is kind of funny to think of her making prank phone calls...
Too old for dressing up??? Nah. How was your Halloween?
