December Birthday Lunch

 

The December Birthday Lunch was a smashing success.

Grandma Joyce didn't attend this time, mostly because we thought it might be less exposure to whatever virus might be going around, and with Christmas coming up soon, she'd have a better chance of staying healthy until then.

We had beef roast, special mashed potatoes, veggies, cranberries, and Sour Dough Bread Ala Katie. Bruce assembled the Angel Food Cake with banana pudding and Cool Whip. I rather think he enjoyed doing that, and I told him that I was proud of him for embracing the whole make your own cake for your own birthday thing (even though he didn't actually bake the cake, he can do that next time if he wants). He agreed!

The kitties were thoughtful and gave presents to Brianna and Bruce, too.

Little Boy presented flowers to Brianna, and was a big help in opening up the gifts. He also gave moral support to Bruce as Bruce cut up the cake to serve. 😂

One of the gifts we gave Brianna was a set of dragon book ends, and she sent me this photo after she got home. They look so cute!
