Angel Food Cake

Oh, my gosh, but we've had beautiful snow this week. And even a person like me, who doesn't relish cold and snow much, can take a look out the window and say ... Oooh, pretty ...  It snowed about 7 inches around here, which is plenty, but Duluth got 24 inches!

I'm hosting lunch tomorrow for Brianna and Bruce, who both have birthdays in December. I asked Bruce if he had any specific dessert that he likes, and he said Angel Food Cake! One with banana pudding in the middle like his mom used to make.

Which made me remember when my mom used to make me Angel Food Cake for my birthday when I was a teenager. Of course she would get up early in the morning to bake it, and the cake would already be made and cooling upside down by the time I got up around noon. 😂 She served ours with strawberries and Cool Whip, and would always use a box of Betty Crocker Angel Food Cake mix, sometimes the one with confetti in it.

With all the sparkly snow outside today, it seemed fitting to bake an Angel Food Cake.
