Beautiful Bellingham, Day Four

I heard the person with the heavy foosteps pacing in the middle of the night again, and wondered if a lot of people have trouble resting well in places other than their own beds. No matter, though, I'm sure I'll have a good day today. And, of course, I had more sausage for breakfast! 😂

This morning we drove to the Puget Sound. It was a blustery day, with 60 mile an hour winds. It was cloudy and grey, as it has been for most of the week, but watching the wind blow over the water was amazing.

Late morning, we drove to the Colophon Cafe, which has been around since 1985, and is well known for their baked goods, breads, and soup. Diana and I had a cup of coconut curry lentil soup, with sides of cheese, and French bread. It hit the spot after the blustery morning we had! I also saw that Diana has the Colophone Cafe Soup book at her place, and when we were there, I took a peek at it, and snapped some photos of a few of the soup recipes. I didn't get the coconut curry lentil soup recipe, though I do remember seeing it in the book. Too bad, because that soup was delicious.

Cheesy Tourist Photo

After lunch, we went back to the Care Center to visit David. Bruce especially wanted to show David a link to a mini PBS documentary he'd seen. It was about the development of a 1970's video game called The Oregon Trail. It turns out that David had a part in the development of it, and recognized the people that were in the documentary. When a reunion picture showed up on the screen with all the staff who had worked on the game, David was there, and he pointed himself out! He watched the documentary twice while we were there, and we could tell that he was pleased.

Supper was at Jalapeños Mexican Grill. Someone offered to take a picture of us posing in a touristy photo stand in frame.

Thought for the day ... Focus on the Green, and not the Grey.
