Last Weekend of September

We drove up north for a night at the cabin this weekend, and although the leaves on the trees were still mostly green, it was fun to see that occasional pop of red color. They say the colors are supposed to be spectacular this year because of all the rain we got earlier in the summer.

Jessie acted a little like her old self and went exploring for chipmonks in the weeds by the water. It was fun to see her doing something she loves, sweet old girl.

We had fish in the freezer, so I pan fried some up, and we had a walleye dinner complete with red beans and rice, and wine.

Then Jake came home for a visit!

Tonight was the super moon lunar eclipse. I had plans to look for it, but then we started watching Masterpiece Theater and forgot. When we remembered, we had to wait for the clouds to move away. It was a pretty moon, and I think my phone camera actually did an okay job once I did a little cropping. The next blood moon won't be until 2033, so I'm glad we were able to see it.

I'm not ready for September to be over, but here we are.
