Trip To Salt Lake City (Day One)

It's beginning to feel like the month of October might be our new time to travel. Last October we flew to Bellingham to visit Diana and David, and this year we flew to Salt Lake City to visit Dan and Rosie. So, we lightly packed our carry on luggage, left our car in the Park and Go lot, and took a shuttle to the airport. We made it though the TSA line without too much anxiety. 😂

Always interesting things to see

Will there be Fruit Loop donuts for us?

Rosie 💕

We had a little time before boarding the plane, and were just starting to think about grabbing a bite to eat at the Red Cow when Jake texted us, and asked if we were still at the airport. We did know that he was also traveling for work that day, but assumed we most likely wouldn't be crossing paths. Turns out that we were on the same flight! Jake even sat in the row right in front of us on the plane, and would turn around once in awhile, and say Hi, Momma.

Wow!

We split a Blues Burger

I love when life gives us little nuggets like this. 💕

Salt Lake City Airport

We changed planes in Phoenix. Jake continued on to California, and we continued on to Salt Lake City. Before our next flight, though, we split some chili, a chocolate frosty, and some "seasonal fruit" (a small bag of tart apples!) at Wendy's. Comfort food at it's best.

Chef Dan

Mmmmm

A beautiful piece of pie

Dan and Rosie picked us up after we landed, and took us back to Rosie's place in the Capital Hill neighborhood, where we would be staying. Dan prepared a Caprese Salad appetizer for us, and had made a cherry blueberry pie.

Bed looks good

And, our bed certainly felt good after a long day of travel.

Sunflowers for Rosie
