Hazy from wild fires in Canada

When looking back at our guest book, it was discovered that the last time Bob and Shelley joined us up at the lake, it was the exact same two days of August last year, the 9th and the 10th! Now, that has to mean something. Maybe those days will need to be remembered for a next year visit!

Wild fire smoke from Canada continues to blow over the state, and although sometimes the air quality isn't the best for spending a lot of time outdoors, we did go out on the boat a couple of times, and did go for a short walk down the road. The boat rides were perfect, leisurely and good for conversation and noticing all the cabins around the lake. The boat, however, sort of broke down as we were finishing up the second ride, and is now in the shop for repairs. 

We played Five Crowns on the porch, and had the best s'mores ever as we sat around the fire. (Debbie had brought everything needed for s'mores when she and her grands visited a day with us a couple of weeks ago, including a bag of HUGE marshmallows!) 

It was a Pretty Fine Up North Weekend. 😌
