Alley Party At LeeRoy's

It was a beautiful day for LeeRoy's Alley Party this year. The sun was out, and even though the breeze ended up having a bit of chill to it, that was fine because I like how the month of September is always so energizing.

Bruce and LeeRoy have been playing music together since they met at college in 1975. Well, there were a number of years in the middle that they didn't get together to play, but what's important is that they found each other again.

It was Happy Hour style, and people brought food to share. Debbie reminded me about cream cheese and pepper jelly with crackers, and what a great idea! LeeRoy and Elizabeth are so good to the people in their neighborhood, and host gatherings a few times a year. Covid got in the way of that, of course, but now that things seem to be less intense, they've restarted their neighborhood get togethers.

I got up and sang two songs, Gravity and It Doesn't Matter Anymore, Linda Ronstadt's version, which has been a favorite of mine for years.

I do look forward to going to these. This alley is a peaceful place, and it's heart warming to see people so laid back and obviously enjoying the music. Little kids and animals, too.  It's really lovely.
