On the behalf of the Book Club Beauties, I would like to give another huge thank you to Mona and her husband, Jim, for his generous birthday gift to her of an Afternoon Tea at the Linhall in Edina. Which Mona then shared with us. 💕 So fancy, and so wonderful.
It was a very hot, windy day when we went to Tea and so before going in, we chatted in the car about our latest book, which was Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult. (Mona had driven us all there in her little yellow car named Barbara) This book had religious themes, and having been a Catholic-Wanna-Be myself when I was little, I found it quite interesting to hear what everybody else had to say!
Our next meeting will most likely be late summer or early fall, our book selection being Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding. Cathy's daughter-in-love, Holly, gave us this recommendation.
