Baby Boy In The House

Katie and baby boy Aaron are staying with us for the month of February while Avi travels to Israel.

It's kind of amazing how having a newborn in the house can shake things up! We've been taking shifts with him so Katie can get some rest ... I have the late night shift until midnight, and Bruce starts his early morning. Some nights are better than others, but I think we've decided that some good goals might be to work on better burping 😏 and then strive for low key evenings, so he can wind down to sleep. I suppose that once we get settled into a routine, he'll change and we'll have to start all over, as often seems to be the case with babies.

He's a very good little boy, though, and such a little love. Grandma Joyce was over the moon with holding him! We were able to get a few four generations pictures taken, too, which will be a precious thing to have in the the future.

The cats have had to learn how to deal with a baby in the house, too. Crying makes Punk and Tristin nervous. Minnie just ignores it, but Punk gets up and leaves the room. Tristin gets clingy and puts his paw on me as if to say, what are we going to do???

Aaron even had a little photo shoot done in the snow. As Katie said ... here in Minnesota, we learn to embrace the cold at a young age ... 😂 Of course that was before the bitter cold moved in. Today the wind chill is close to 30 below, much too cold for baby boy to be out and about!

I just love being grandma. 💕
