Minnesota Zoo

As I mentioned before, Katie's gift to me was a morning at the Minnesota Zoo. We decided to go on the Friday before my birthday, hoping that there wouldn't be as large of a crowd, but since it was summer, there were still plenty of kids there. The new Treetop Trail was open, and we walked it, me sticking closer to the middle because of my fear of heights! Nick treated me to a slushy (I had orange, he had a combo of blue raspberry and sour green apple) Little boy liked watching the beavers swim in their pond as he thought they looked like his stuffed Capybara, Christopher. We ended up staying a couple of hours, which was probably just the right amount of time for little boy and baby Daniel.

After we left, Bruce and I went to Texas Roadhouse for a birthday lunch with Nick. 

Going to the Zoo brought back memories of when I'd take all three kids with me there, now that was an adventure!
