It was a quiet Valentine's Day this year, but come to think of it, they usually are. It was also our 38th Wedding Anniversary, and although we didn't do anything big on actual Valentine's Day, we do try to do nice things for each other throughout the week.

Of course, we were both fighting off head colds, too. It felt good to just stay in, warm and cozy as the snow fell, and frigid air moved in once more. We had a reservation for Wednesday night at Jax Supper Club, but ended up cancelling because it didn't make sense to go out to eat at an expensive restaurant when we couldn't smell or taste the food! I decided to make a steak dinner at home for us instead, which we enjoyed very much. And then made a romantic Italian Spaghetti Dinner on Valentine's Day.

We talked about how celebrations are becoming more practical, and that was just fine with us. We toasted our glasses of Chianti, and had some chocolate while we watched our current Netflix series. We'll still go to Jax in the future, but maybe when the weather is warmer, and we 're healthier. 💕
