Easter 2025

I've been thinking about the fact that last Easter was the last time that Mom made it over here to our house. She had a good afternoon, and I tried to cherish the time. When Mom and Dad came over for the holidays, they always seemed so appreciative, and in Dad's case, always complimentary of all the food I made. 😌 I miss those days.

Bruce got his basket

I got one, too!

The Easter Candle

This year, everyone made it over here for dinner. We had an egg hunt for the little boys (Katie said Aaron was so excited for the egg hunt all day) and they found all 30 of them. The big boys ran around the house with the little boys, and that was great. Nama Nama Pop Pop gave special sticker books to the little boys to take home, airplane themed for Aaron, and car themed for Daniel. Holidays with little boys are fun! 💕

The Jello

I did not make these 😎

We had a traditional menu of ham, cheesy hash brown casserole, glazed carrots, roasted green beans, corn, sunflower crunch salad, a jello salad (Aaron requested strawberry), deviled eggs, bread and butter, sugar cookies, and cherry cobbler. There were plenty of leftovers, and I made a pot of split pea & ham soup using up the meat on the ham bone. I think it might be the best pot I've made yet!

Daniel Turns Two

Daniel is now two years old. He's quite the talker these days, and can string together even longer sentences. He loves the Cars characters, especially Mater and McQueen, and loves Woody, Buzz, and Sally from Toy Story. He talks about them all the time!

He had two parties this year (and why not? he turned two!), one at home with family and friends, and then Nama Nama Pop Pop also had to have a party. Jake was back home from his week of travel, and so he and Brianna were able to be here. We had spaghetti and meatballs, plus Confetti Birthday Cake, which was a big hit. Happy birthday, Daniel! 🎈🎈🎈
