It's already nearing the end of the month of May, and I realize that an important event in April has not yet been noted! Our Book Club Beauties met on April 14th at Mona's condo, an exceptionally gorgeous day weather wise, and so Mona's husband, Jim, offered to take a picture of us posing on their balcony.
You might remember that our book selection was Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice, and to be honest, I'll admit that I didn't finish it in time before we met. But finish it I eventually did, and I've decided that it was very good brain activity to try to follow her style of writing, plus keep track of the many characters included in the story.
We had quiche, twisty bacon, fruit salad, and chocolate croissants. Plus pretty little sweet cakes and macarons that would be fun to have at an afternoon tea.
Our next meeting will be at my place in June, skipping May because of Kat's upcoming travels to Germany. I guess we didn't really choose a book to read, which is probably just fine because we'll need to hear all about Kat's adventures ...
